Maria L. Rodgers, PhD

I'm an incoming Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University. I have a variety of research interests that span comparative immunology and immunotoxicology themes. My main research interests include 1. working with organoids and intestine-on-chip systems to examine the interaction of gut epithelial cells, immune cells, and the microbiome across populations of threespine stickleback; 2. investigating antibody responses in wild sea turtles; 3. understanding the impact of multistressor scenarios (including contaminants) on health and immunity in coastal and marine organisms. I welcome the opportunity to collaborate, so don't hesitate to reach out!
